Although we’ve never been to Mexico (so far), we love Mexican food, because of the mix of the ingredients, of the salsa, beans, guacamole, and warm and thin pita bread. Believe it or not, there are people who went on a diet by eating Mexican food and they succeeded. Our diet wasn’t based on Mexican food, but we didn’t avoid it either.
In Ubud, we ate a lot of Indonesian food and as we wanted to diversify a little bit, we were looking for some alternatives. And we found this nice place, called Cantina where you can just sit at the table and watch the staff while they prepare your food. You can eat it there or you can take it away. We decided to eat it there, it looked so yummy that we didn’t want to wait until we’ll get home. One portion is big enough for two people, but as we wanted to try at least two of the foods, we went for Tacos beef and for the Nachos Cantina. I leave you here some pictures that can describe best what I am talking about. 🙂
At the end of the meal, we got spoiled by these traditional picarones. We are sure we will understand why when you’ll see the picture below.
If you want to learn some of the secrets of the Mexican food, Cantina is ideal for this as the staff has no problem in showing you some things and in answering to your curiosities.
